The CV Bit lets you integrate synth Bits with other analog synthesizers like modular synths or analog keyboards. Control the pitch of oscillators and cutoff frequency of filters, control analog synthesizers with Bits, or create new control interfaces for your synth.
How it works
CV stands for "control voltage", a widely used term in analog synthesizers: a variable voltage signal that controls behaviours ranging from the pitch of oscillators to the cutoff setting of filters. The CV Bit handles both CV and Gate/Trigger signals, and suits modular analog synths, analog keyboards and groove boxes like the Korg Volca series, whose "Sync" ports can keep your Bits and Volcas playing in sync.
CV In: connect a control device to the "CV In" jack and its signal is routed to the output bitSnap, so it can control the pitch of oscillator Bits, the cutoff of filter Bits, trigger the envelope Bit, or set the speed of the micro sequencer Bit (in "Step" mode). Incoming voltages as high as 12V are scaled down to the 5V littleBits system.
CV Out: CV signals from Bits at the input bitSnap are routed to the "CV Out" jack, to control your other CV-enabled synth equipment.
