Gigo Teaching Aid - Green Energy Learning Kit

The Green Energy Learning Kit (Gigo item #1410) is a Gigo teaching aid for renewable energy. Its 16 experiments and 20 models cover energy generation, transmission, storage and household use, from first principles to energy storage and rationing. Students generate electricity with methods such as wind and solar power, then use it to run an LED, a buzzer or an electric car.

The built-in green energy management system (GEMS) shows real-time voltage and current, so students can watch supply and consumption change as devices are switched on and off.

Key features

• 16 experiments and 20 models, including a flashlight, a solar-powered fan, a hand-cranked alarm and an electric car
• Covers power grids and household green energy configurations
• GEMS displays real-time voltage and current values
• Data can be logged for analysis by connecting to Gigo #1409 and a computer (sold separately)
• Parts are made from Bio-ABS biomass material certified by the European Union
• The manual links the experiments to where everyday energy comes from and to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
• GEMS needs three AAA/LR03 batteries (not included)
